US Alpine Masters ACE Scoring - Documentation Index

**** NOTE ***
Most of the ACE Scoring user documentation was written back in 2002 with the original release of the scoring tools (originally known as the "Masters Race Scroing Tools"). Most of the material is still reasonably accurate, although a major update revisions is certainly overdue.

Probably the most significant change since the original set of capabilities were released was the addition during the 2012 season of support for loading race results using the standard results XML data files now used for results reporting to U.S. Ski & Snowboard, superseding an older text format used by USSA known as "SkiData". Loading race results into ACE Scoring has been significantly simplified by the switch to FIS XML produced by timing software systems.

The US Alpine Masters Alpine Competition Event Scoring (ACES) tools are used to process and manage race results data over the course of a competition season or for a specific event. The tools are intended to make it easy to perform common tasks such as generating race results reports to post on a web site, compute combined event standings, and compute season standings of competitors.

An overview of the ACE Scoring tools is provided in the US Alpine Masters ACE Scoring.

For installation instructions, refer to Installation - US Alpine Masters ACE Scoring .

The capabilities and operation of the ACE Scoring tools are described in US Alpine Masters ACE Scoring User's Guide .

A description of the various scoring system formulas supported by ACE Scoring for alpine masters competition is provided in Scoring Systems.

For detailed information about the file formats supported by the tools, interested readers can refer to Timing Data File Formats .
